FAQ
Short answers to the questions people ask first.
For creators
Do I have to pay anything back?
No. If your fees fall short, the vault keeps what arrived and the stream ends. There is no debt and no collateral.
Why does my source need a week before it can sell?
The price is built from the last seven days of fees paid into the source. Until there are seven days on record, with fees on at least four of them, there's nothing to price from. The checklist on your source's page shows the date and hour quotes open.
Does the price depend on my token's price or holders?
No. Only the USDC paid into your source over the last seven days, the share and term you pick, and the vault's limits.
Can I sell more than 50%?
No. The program caps a stream at half of each fee, so you always keep at least half.
Can I end a stream early?
No. A stream runs until its term ends or the vault reaches its cap. Fees paid in after either one are entirely yours.
Can I sell again after a stream ends?
Yes. Once the stream is settled, the source can be quoted again from its most recent seven days.
Can someone else pay fees into my source?
Yes. Anyone can pay into any source, and the payment splits the same way. It's still your token's source: only you can claim the creator side.
My token's mint authority is revoked. Can I still use Flume?
Not with that token. Registering a source requires the token's current mint authority to sign.
For liquidity providers
What do I earn?
Whatever the streams in the vault return, shared across every share. A stream returns between nothing and twice its price. Flume takes no fee from the vault.
When can I withdraw?
Whenever no stream is open. Every term ends within thirty days, and anyone can settle a stream once it ends; the vault opens when the last open stream settles.
What is a share worth?
The vault's cash divided by the number of shares. Nothing else is counted: not open streams, and not unsold SOL.
General
Which wallets work?
Browser wallets that support the Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack. Requesting a quote needs a wallet that can sign messages, which these all can.
What does Flume cost?
Flume charges no fee of its own. You pay Solana's network fees for your transactions, and rent for the accounts a new source creates.
Does Flume have a token?
Yes, FLUME. Holders vote on the vault's pricing model and its quote key. The whole supply goes to one public launch on the same terms for everyone, with no team, investor or reserved share. Holding it doesn't change a quote or add a fee. See FLUME token.
